Summer is in the Air

May 23, 2012

In Sweden the winter is long and the days are short. The approach of spring brings a feeling of renewal and awakening. May 1st marks the official start of spring with the celebration of Walpurgis Night the eve before. Huge bonfires are lit, and there is dancing and drinking. The children are sent out to gather greenery to decorate the house, and are rewarded with candy. The evening meal consists of Gravlax, fresh salmon marinated with salt, sugar and dill, and served with boiled potatoes. The following day people gather outdoors to celebrate,  have a barbecue and enjoy the beginning of spring.

At Scandinavian Grace we are celebrating the beginning of spring and the summer to come. We’re updating our website with wonderful new things. We are adding several new collections from various companies including Menu, Fatboy, Playsam, and Fromsthlm to name a few. We are including new collections for the season from some of the designers, and adding some additional color choices. We have new and exciting products that will give you joy and beauty this season.

So have a look around. Check out these great outdoor oil lamps by Menu. Perfect for a summer night.

Don’t forget to keep an eye out as we continue to add more items to our site. Enjoy your summer and come back often!  Vi ses!
